Haiti Travel and the Airlines

The earth-shattering earthquake in Haiti has displaced millions and led to a tremendous loss of life for this poor Caribbean nation.

It should be no surprise that the airport is closed, and airlines have canceled flights to Port-au-Prince – including American Airlines and Air Canada.

Travel Alerts have also been issued, and I have posted some of the pertinent phone numbers as well as airline policies in this section of the Air Travel Forum.

For coverage of the 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti, see my colleague Kathleen Crislip’s great, comprehensive feature on the disastrous earthquake that has devastated Haiti.
