Coffee Web site is not for average joes
A new San Francisco-based Web site thinks it has the solution for coffee geeks who want to sample exalted roasts beyond their local brands, or those marooned in places where the artisanal coffee bandwagon has not yet arrived.

Airfare Specials – Promo Codes – Week of March 7, 2010
It’s a good week for airline promo codes to save you a bit extra on your next flight or travel package. JetBlue, Southwest Airlines and Air Berlin are all offering discounts via promotional codes right now.
JetBlue is making it pretty easy to get a discount - just sign up for its getaways alerts. Sign up for their email alerts and get $50 off a JetBlue getaway. Must sign up by March 12 and book a getaway by that date. Definitely a quick way to save some money if you are planning a trip on JetBlue soon.
Southwest Airlines Vacations has a promo code that is running for virtually all of their vacation package destinations which makes this promotion that bit sweeter. Book a flight and hotel package to any Southwest Vacations destination and save up to $200. Use promo code: SAVENOW. Book by March 22.
For the traveler looking to fly overseas, Air Berlin is keeping it simple to get a promo code. Just fill out a brief form on the page and get your code. Seems to be good for all of their European destinations when originating out of the United States. The offer is a promo code that will save you an extra $60 on a roundtrip airfare. Book by April 30. Travel must be completed by the end of July.

Getting Free Upgrades
Having worked for an airline for over 15 years, friends often ask about how to get free upgrades. Are there any particular strategies that can secure a bigger seat for you flight? The short answer is if you are entitled to it yes, and if you aren’t then you kind of need luck on your side. But luck can turn into opportunity for a few of the top 10 ways to get upgraded from economy class to coach.
If you are a top tier frequent flyer then you know you have a good shot at upgrades, but the infrequent traveler may need to dress the part, volunteer to be bumped, etc. to have a chance to sit up front.

Smith College Bulb Show: An Early Burst of Spring in Northampton, Massachusetts
According to the calendar, spring is still officially two weeks away. One look at the drab New England landscape, and it’s obvious our wait may actually be much longer. Yet, as it has for a century, spring has erupted early in Northampton, Massachusetts, where the Smith College Bulb Show runs through March 21. I was at the show’s opening yesterday, and I have to tell you: I don’t think you’ll find a better way to spend $2 in New England this month. As you’ll see from my photos… and learn from the comments I overheard… Smith students and faculty have outdone themselves this year, and while we’ve had a spell of mild weather, a walk through this display of more than 5,000 blooms will delight your senses and provide you with fragrant memories to call upon when the weather turns brisk again.
While You’re in Northampton… Go Shopping!

Enjoy A Taste of NYC BBQ!
While New York City might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of BBQ, New York City is home to the annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party every June, and a number of fantastic restaurants specializing in barbecue. A couple of my favorite barbecue restaurants in New York City are Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Blue Smoke.
If you’d like a guided tour of the New York City’s barbecue scene, you might want to check out the NYC BBQ Tour, which features stops at four popular NYC barbecue restaurants with tastings, as well as a chance to get to meet some of the people behind these great restaurants. The restaurants featured include Blue Smoke, The Hog Pit, Rodeo Bar and Hill Country BBQ. The tour is offered every Monday night from 6-9 p.m. Tastings during the tour should easily cover your dinner needs, side dishes and soft drinks are also included, but alcoholic beverages are extra. Tickets are $88.88/person; children 2 and under are free.
