Passive-aggressive cattiness between in-laws

Mom and mother-in-law wage subtle who-is-hurt-more war over son’s birthday.

My boyfriend is a jerk to my pals

What do you do when the person you are interested in is arrogant and pedantic in groups, but not when you’re alone?

Hollywood Bowl

The Hollywood Bowl was a “hit” from its very first season in 1922, and it’s my favorite outdoor concert venue. Some nights the ambiance outperforms the artists, as concert-goers arrive early to enjoy a picnic on the grounds before the music begins.

Right now, they’re selling season subscriptions and in March, you’ll be able to buy tickets to 5 or more concerts of your choice. After that, tickets to individual performances go on sale, but it’s not too early to start picking out your concert and making plans.

Packing Snacks

cooler
Oh those flights with the stomach rumbles. When you think of some flights being 4 hours or longer without any food being served at all, or having to pay for food on your flight, you may want to bring your own snacks on board.

So many times when I wanted to purchase a sandwich on board it wasn’t available, leaving chips and candies as my only other palatable options. It is hard to find healthier options on board flights so I usually resort to packing my own snacks.

Many of the items don’t require refrigeration so you can also create your inflight menu of items from your vacation location as well. I do tote it all in a small, soft-sided cooler bag so that I have everything in one place.

I am sharing my own list of food I often bring on board in – Food For Flights – Packing Snacks

Great Deals On New England Vacations

I had the wonderful opportunity while I was in Maine last week to film a segment about stretching your travel dollars in New England with ABC 8 WMTW news reporter Keith Baldi. Inspired by the Italian Cooking Class Package I recently featured on my New England Deal Sheet, we taped the segment, which aired last night, at Grissini Italian Bistro in Kennebunkport. I hope you’ll watch the video for some helpful ideas on how to find great deals on New England vacations. Just don’t pay too much attention to my ravioli-making skills. Chef Leonora Palaima assured me that my ravioli trapezoids would “still taste good.”
